Hi! My name is Marcin

About 6 years ago I took up photography more seriously, and in 2023 I returned to analog photography, which fascinated me as a teenager. Thanks to my friends Maciej and Filip, I quickly discovered the possibility of taking pictures on Vision3 film stock, and I also fell in love with the halation effect available on films without the remjet layer. Since the original films were too expensive for me, I started removing remjet from film stock myself, initially for my own use. When word of mouth spread that I was doing something like this, there were people willing to buy such films from me. And that’s how it all started.

I managed a home process for removing the remjet layer, which allows me to meet my own photographic needs, as well as produce a certain amount of films for sale. I am constantly working on improving this process and I think that currently my films are really good, and in most cases error-free.

I do everything myself. Production, graphic design of labels, design and creation of the website with the store, social media, preparation for shipping, sometimes distribution, marketing.
Of course, I have great support from Filip from Poznański Analog in technical matters. He helps me solve all the problems that I encounter on my way.

So far, film production does not usually take up all the time that I have at my disposal, so in my free time I give a second life to old laptops. And I take photos.

However, there are times when orders accumulate and then I have to devote 100% of my attention to the films, and sometimes it even overwhelms me a bit. This can cause delays in shipping and, rarely, but still – mistakes. Be understanding then and do not get too angry with me.

Less Waste idea and Direct Sale

My business model is a bit specific, probably because the driving force of the HAS65 project was primarily passion, not a desire for profit. My form of contact with buyers is quite direct. I have established closer contacts with many of them, sometimes even as friends. When I have a mishap, I always try to solve it in the buyers’ favor.

For about two years, the idea of Less Waste has been very close to me. It started with a passion for giving old laptops a second life. And analog photography fits in perfectly with this trend. Considering the available possibilities, I could easily make my products more “professional”. I could load films into new, plastic cartridges and then, like everyone else, pack them in plastic vials and paper boxes. Why don’t I do it?
Because it seems to me that with the modern forms of direct sales, it is unnecessary, and also unecological and uneconomical. That is why I use recycled film cartridges, I try to limit plastic packaging whenever possible. And for packaging, I use as much paper as possible, and if it is plastic, then from recycling. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, all of the bubble wrap and other types of fillings that you come across in my packages come from packages that I have received over the last few years, which I have been carefully collecting. When my supplies run out, I will probably switch to paper fillings 100%.
